The exact opposite point can be made for almost all other image generators. If you do not specify race, then most probably you will get a white person. Does this also bother you or you consider this normal?
I'd expect randomness in an equal distribution or a bias towards east-asians since they are the highest population.
Regarding the examples, they were obviously created after I did not specify anything race related and it was generating black persons 100% of the time in multiple tests. I wrote stuff like "NoneOfYourBusiness" and "DontAskMe" for example which are totally unrelated. I'd expect to see a Panda or Bojack Horseman but got a black male in more than 5 tests if I recall. I would at least expect some randomness of different races.
And to be clear, I don't know anything about other image generators, I didn't even expect huggingface to use one (totally pointless). I thought I'd point out an, in my opinion, obvious bias since we're all trying to contribute to the betterment of AI.
