Model Card for Ecuadorian Legal Documents LoRA Adapter

This experimental model is a fine-tuned LoRA adapter designed to enhance the Llama 3.3 70B Instruct base model for generating legal documents tailored to the Ecuadorian legal framework. As part of the Alheli family of models, this experimental version demonstrates approximately 35% improved performance for legal text generation compared to our baseline. This makes it an effective solution for legal professionals and organizations seeking an efficient, context-aware legal text generator.

Important: This model is specialized exclusively for generating legal documents in Spanish. Due to the possibility of hallucinations, it is highly recommended to integrate the model with a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system that references up-to-date Ecuadorian legislation (e.g., as implemented at fonleslegaltech.com).

Model Details

Model Description

The LoRA adapter has been fine-tuned using approximately 3 million tokens derived from a curated dataset of around 2,500 Ecuadorian legal Q&A pairs. The dataset was assembled from legal writings by experienced Ecuadorian lawyers, ensuring that the content is both authentic and aligned with current legal standards. The adapter enables the base model to generate detailed, legally compliant documents in Spanish. Although the base model supports a context window of up to 132,000 tokens, this adapter has been fine-tuned with a maximum context window of 32,000 tokens, optimizing its performance for moderately long sequences.
