Explain:
The Lost Boy
Boy it really stinks in here
The dumpster is not the place
To get the food you need each day
Just to feed your face.
A ten-year-old with a dirty face
Crawls out with his daily meal
What is he doing in this place
How am I suppose to feel?
His mother cradles a baby
The child's been dead three weeks
Her mind is gone from drug abuse
And now she hardly speaks.
Grandma is a drunkard
With men who come to town
Bringing her a bottle
Just to go a round.
Drugs out on the table
A line or two is good
That should carry her over
No one ever understood.
The little boy with dirty face
Has not been schooled in years
He fights the streets alone
Long since lost his fears.
A stale sandwich, and watered coke
His meal for this day
Whatever tomorrow may bring
He knows not the word play.
Emaciated with distant eyes
No one really sees him
Just one of the lost boys
His life completely grim.
God bless the children!

Explain:
Let your breath be the air I need,
when I drown in your eyes as I see.
Let yourself fall into my arms that bleed,
when the world shows you no mercy.
Let your sad past bury down in the core,
when you walk with your heart close to me.
Let there be your lovely face at the door,
When I return from the war no matter how long it be.
Let your love nourish my frozen heart,
when it lies under the snow capped tree.
Let me be enslaved with you forever from the start,
when the time comes, together we shall flee.
Let your presence enlighten my dark,
when your smile reflects in the sea.
Let the words of love be thy spark,
when you come out of dreams to kiss me.
I wish we were together... my princess...
