I have the same Question

Find your ComfyUI installation directory: Determine which folder your ComfyUI software is installed in.

Enter the models folder: In the ComfyUI installation directory, find the models folder and enter it.

Create a BiRefNet folder: In the models folder, create a new folder named BiRefNet (note the capitalization).

Enter the BiRefNet folder: Enter the BiRefNet folder you just created.

Create a pth folder: In the BiRefNet folder, create another new folder named pth (note the lowercase).

Copy the model file: Copy or move the BiRefNet-general-epoch_244.pth model file you downloaded to the ComfyUI/models/BiRefNet/pth/ folder.

Restart ComfyUI: Completely restart your ComfyUI software to ensure that the plugin can load the new model.

Verify model loading: After restarting ComfyUI, add the LayerMask: Load BiRefNet Model (Advance) node in ComfyUI. Check if you can see the BiRefNet-general-epoch_244.pth model option in the model parameter drop-down menu of the node. If you can see it, it means the model has been successfully installed!

Model installation path: ComfyUI/models/BiRefNet/pth/BiRefNet-general-epoch_244.pth.
Make sure to follow the above steps to create BiRefNet and pth folders in the models directory of ComfyUI, and put the model file in the pth folder.
